Hi PS expert,
I have a business requirement that seems to be not supported by SAP.
It is about multi-currency planning in WBS
Let me give you an example.
For the WBS « XYZ », they need to plan on the cost element 613100 :
- 10 months of supervision for 250 000 USD
- 25 days of engineering for 3 000 USD
- 30 computers (EA for « each » is the quantity unit) for 2 700 EUR
From our point of view, here are the different workaround we have think about to adress this need.
1/ In CJR2 :
I fill my planned values for the « XYZ » WBS and the « 613100 » cost element with :
- 253 000 USD
- And I populate in a text linked to the period / exercice the details that allow me to find those amount
Not enough accurate from my client perspective.
It means that it’s more relevant to do it in excel and only put the result in SAP
2/ CJ40
Unit costing could have handled it if there was not this restriction mentionned in the OSS note…
3/ Easy Cost Planning
I am able to create thanks to costing model the exact needs of my client, nevertheless the amount populated in « currency characteristic » are recorded in CO table (COSS and COSP) in CO area currency as the transaction currency which is not correct for my client. The transaction currency should have been the one of my characteristic…
Do you have any others ideas ?
I guess that international companies have the same kind of requirement.
