CNE1 Period /Year significance

Hi Experts,

Is there any reason why the To Period and year in CNE1 Transaction is set as future period?

When I look at the way its being run here, they enter ;

To Period - 12

To Year - 2030

when we are running in for current period do we just put current period and current  year or do we need to put some date in far future considering the project end dates? Is that needed to calculate POC for a future period ?

Would appreciate your comments on this.
